Its time for our new competition! This competition will be affilated with; minebook!
The theme for the competition is a server spawn theme! (credits to liquid_lightning)
To participate in the competition;
- Make sure you're white-listed here; http://www.womjr.com/play
- Join the server!
- Go through the portal to the comp world.
- To get your plot and start building, run "/claim"!
- Start building in the plot that you're teleported to!
All plots will automatically close on September 13th at 11:59 AM!

1ST PLACE Winner: Captain_Goal will recieve - Diamond Warrior + A 3D PRINTING OF YOUR BUILDING MAILED TO YOU + A Beacon Block on Smp + Diamond Horse Armor + Full set of Protection 4 Enchanted Diamond Armor and Sharpness 5, Fire Aspect 2 Diamond Sword

the winner will have their spawn used as the next smp spawn, as for teams, that's a no, the plotme plugin doesn't allow teams, sorry.
it's also preferred users make an smp style spawn, and users who are using the plots to create lag machines will be banned and disqualified from the competition.

I made a video of my spawn :) It's not finished all the way and this isn't my final entry, but I would just like to record and show case my spawn as it's mostly finished for others to see :)

At the end of the contest, I can go around and record. I can record in 720p ( I can actually record in 1080 but it takes like 1 hour for ever 3 minutes to upload lol ) and then upload it. The video I made there isn't the best just because I turned down the quality to upload it fast lol.
Can't do anything about the "BANDICAM.COM" thing unless someone gives me a $39 license for the software, lol, which isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Hey folks,
Just thought I'd show you a few pics of the test print we had done so you can see how they turn out.
They do take a while to ship, but they ship very well packaged. I needed to spend some time picking out all the styrofoam balls they pack these with off the build. (Compressed air and long tweezers) but they come very well packed. One piece of my build had broken off but was easily glued back on.
Scale wise, this is 100x100 to a 75% scale. (1 block = 0.75mm)
If I recall correctly the builds from this comp are 75x75 and we're intending to print them at 1 block = 1mm.
So they'll turn out the same physical size as this one but with slightly larger blocks.
Other than that keep in mind some blocks don't translate to 3d print, (Torches and brewing cauldrons and stuff)
We'll work with the owner of the winning build to help sort out any issues with blocks like these before sending to the printers.
So... without further information dumping.

If i understood u right, the print will be 7.5cm x 7.5cm? This is much smaller i thought.
But cool anyway! To see something minecrafted brought out of the virtual world to the real... is... amazing!

It's approx 14.5cm x 14.5cm
I scaled it down because cost goes up pretty sharply at larger sizes.
That's also the reason behind the comp plot sizes, they should match up to roughly the same size at the 1block - 1mm scaling.

I Was busy this week and wasn't able to get on at all. I did enter a building in the com... I think I entered it in. I built it at the very least.. Not quite finished.
Srry. Back to my question. I was busy building the structure and was going to put where the signs and rules went later...

Oh. I forgot to mention, All of the top 5 builds will be copied to the new map, and spread out around the map. They'll then be admin claimed to keep anyone from using the materials in the build, and then given a warp. The person who built it can then use the surrounding area to make a town, or just as a private area, or really anything they want.
I just felt like thse builds were too good to go to waste. So now everyone will get to enjoy these areas.

The "honorable mention" list is so long, it's basically everyone who completed their build. It was an incredibly close competition, and tons of people were just 1 or 2 points away from being on this list.

We'll keep the map up for a while and we should be able to arrange for a download.
If anyone is interested, once I'm done working with Captain_Goal I'm happy to work with you to get a 3d printable model of your build exported.
If you want to print that It'd be at your cost but the quality of builds is so good that it'd be a shame not to give you guys the option.
Be forwarned though, printing at the quality in my example isn't the cheapest of things to do.
