Sorry if this is already posted, but I found a way to get the mc:// URL without the server issuing the URL for you.
First, go to the regular Minecraft page of the server* you want to use World of Minecraft in. Then, view the page source. (If you're using Firefox, it's View->Page Source, or Ctrl+U) You're going to need to find a block of code that looks like:
<param name="username" value="SlyCooperMan">
<param name="sessionid" value="-875352396951892878">
<param name="haspaid" value="true">
<param name="server" value="61.19.248.94">
<param name="port" value="32701">
<param name="mppass" value="583352552d6ac6bccb83f584aaa7fc3a">
(Sorry, I couldn't get <code> to work)
This should be right above the "Controls" text.
Now, get the game client opened up. In the Direct Connect URL box, type in mc:// followed by the IP address given in the "server" value code, in this case it will look like mc://61.19.248.94, Then type a colon followed by the numbers given in the "port" value code then type a slash; it should look like this: mc://61.19.248.94:32701/. Now, type your username you are logged in as then another slash; "mc://61.19.248.94:32701/SlyCooperMan/". Finally, find the code given by the "mppass" value and type that in;"mc://61.19.248.94:32701/SlyCooperMan/583352552d6ac6bccb83f584aaa7fc3a". After that, you can hit "Go!" and you should be connected.
Thanks.
EDIT: If during the middle of your game you lose connection, it's just because the mppass has changed. First, use the same URL again, and if you get a log in error, just go back to the normal server page, view the source, and copy and paste the code again. All the other parts won't need to be changed.
*So if you don't know what I mean by that, I guess I'm going to have to go back to the basics. Log in, go to the main page, there should be a link to the right that says "Multiplayer" under Classic, that will lead you to the classic server list, find your server, click on the link, and then do the page source stuff from there. Mppass does exist.
but i could be just an idiot...
It seems way easier to just normaly connect to a server... :P
doesnt seem to work, complains that it is not a valid URL
I cant find the page source.
For IE, it's Page -> View Source
For Firefox it's View -> Page Source
For Chrome it's Right Click -> Inspect Element
This actually doesn't work in most servers. For some reason, McLawl (and some software derived from the source of McLawl) allows for any connection from localhost or any internal IP to "bypass" the salt security check. Not sure why McLawl chose to bypass such a check, I think it has something to do when accessing the play.jsp page by using the ?ip=<ip> field, rather than the normal method. This won't work for anyone else, and won't work for servers that have the bypass fixed. I'd suggest getting someone else externally to check this, if they can get in, your server's salt is wrong, or it's not got verify-names or the security check on/installed/enabled.
Well, maybe my way only works for McForge, cuz that's my favorite server's software. But IDK, I'm no expert.
What do you mean the "regular minecraft page of the server you want?"
i went to minecraft.net and loggedin via the web, which is what iguessed you meant
So what you do is after you log in, go to the main page, there should be a link to the right that says "Multiplayer" under Classic, that will lead you to the classic server list, find your server, click on the link, and then do the page source stuff from there. Mppass does exist.
it worked for me and btw for people that think its too long to do every time its called notepad :)
SlyCooperMan... O_o lol you get it work for me
When minecraft.net was down and the server list wouldn't show, I used it for an MCForge server.
You should download MCKat. We're a fairly new server software based off MCLawl and we're working constantly for improvements in the software. In MCKat there is a command that lets you get the direct connect url of any player including yourself. So basically how you would use it is /durl [player] (case sensitive).
Do this software requires me to port foward? brcause i cant port foward.
it works, yea, but when it loads it says its not responding, or connection lost, and my wifi router is right next to the computer so that cant be it! any suggestions?
I guess it works, but it says login failed. and i gottta type it all over.

If it says that login failed you must login totally to get the list, then go onto it but, with minecraft down you can't get the list, or can you?
what is the other way of plugging in all the flying and running?
is there already a list of different servers that u can use
I got it to work, type,
