It's been a while, how have you been?
Just a quick update for you all on NEXUS
As most of you know, we announced NEXUS a little while ago and were gearing up to launch it... and then Mojang announced name changes and UUID's to come into effect.
These changes would've made NEXUS quite flawed. Spud and myself made the choice to port it to the new UUID system rather then release it and have to make the port later on. This also has given us a lot more time to flush it clean of all the bugs we can find.
tl;dr- We delayed NEXUS so we could make it compatible with 1.8.
So, when will we release it? The honest answer is: when it's done.

Since nexus is supposed to be similar to CMP with more user permissions, does that mean that mobs will be disabled like CMP or are mobs going to be enabled for nexus?

So, when you step into the NEXUS portal when it opens, you will be trasported to your 'world'? Or a NEXUS hub like in Realms?

A HUB Like realms.
From there you gotta enter a world creation command and then you have your own world (:

as the title says, i am very excited for the NEXUS to come out. i will be very happy to see this draw in more players. and also suggestion (sorta off topic) but try adding a portal in SMP at spawn that leads to the LOBBY server as many people have no clue how to get there or forget its even there. and maybe add a little message that pops up every now and again thats says "for more servers go into /lobby" or something like that.

Since nexus has already been compared to realms I want to know if there will be the same size changing capabilities, and if perhaps realms ranks could have some effect on ranks in nexus ;) I was an "artist" (red named dude) on realms and getting there took a lot of time and effort (Though admittedly I was awful at building at the time and in no way an artist) and I'm sure there are others playing now that were proud of their realms rank. Just for clarification's sake I'm not asking FOR a rankup, I'm asking IF you plan on giving one.

Firstly: Ranks for initial testing release is not on the table. We want to stress test everything first before we dive into the ranking system.
However, we do have a ranking system in mind but it does not mirror realms ranking setup.
I can't really say anymore until the details are locked down.

I don't think that we even have the ranks from realms saved anywhere? So it would kinda just be peoples words. Oh yeah. I was an engineer. :P. So if we get ranks figured out, everyone starts at the bottom. Except me. I start at the top and try to work my way down.

Maybe you should try that, just build progressively worse builds until you can start anew :)
