This weeks Crafting Heroes takes a quick break from the adventure to have an important conversation.
Usually when gaming is reported in mainstream media its viewed in a negative tone, "violence in gaming," "Addiction" "Online bullying" or simply as a gimmick
article "E-sports" "Hardware Releases & Peripherals."
But these are only small part of the gaming subculture. So we decided to make a short film exploring one of the positives aspects of gaming
For a lot of people gaming is a way to escape the pressures of life and indulge in a fleeting moment of fantasy. Gaming gives the player the opportunity to remove the boundaries and stigmas of their gender, aesthetics, popularity, personality and life/social circumstances etc. from this point they are free to engage and socialise neutrally with other players and in most cases work together with others to problem solve and forge strong relationships built on mutual respect.
