I can't seem to find any iron ore (if thats normal), so I was wondering where it typically is. IE:Around sand, around coal, 1/2 way down, etc.

i think its easy to find it in sandy/under water areas, and harder in dirt(thats what ive heard)

Near Lava, and i find a lot of mine near coal. Stay generall close to the lava lakes, i found most of my diamonds near lava lakes. Also, i usually stay and look around in caves. You can mostly find caves near cliffs and mountains. So start looking for them huge mountains!

Easiest way to get Iron: make a mine, go as far down as you can. OR find caves.
