Joining for the First Time

Before joining, it's a good idea to download the Voxel Box Texture Pack. ALL of our builds use this texture pack. If you use the default, you'll be seeing buildings with diamond ore accents and gold ore walls. So it's a really good idea to install the texture pack before logging in.
If you are joining us for the first time (by accessing this IP Address: Mc.Starbursts.org) you will spawn in the noob world and you name will be in GREY. If someone is online, they will greet you... be polite and a good citizen. Please take some time to review the rules located on the rule boards close to where you spawn. If you follow these rules carefully, your time on the server will be enjoyable!
Ok, Now What?

Once you've read over the rules, it's time to build! Don't go dig a hole in the ground to find resources... this is a creative building server. That means that all the building blocks you will ever need are kindly given to you. Simply grab yourself a Dooplicator and right click on any block in the Block Room. The block you chose will be generously given to you in your inventory in a nice neat stack of 64. Now you're ready to build something! All of the builds in the noob world are built along a wooden path. Please follow this arrangement and build your building along a wooden path.
I've Built My Square Box!

On the Starbursts Server, we are looking for creativity and originality. Don't build us a stale Wooden Box for your home. That won't get you in the Normal World. Build us something that we can't live without, that pushes the limits of construction, and something that is aesthetically pleasing. If you need help with structural design, interior design, and anything in general; the Building with Starbursts Videos will provide you with tons of information.
Things to Keep in Mind

If you want to get your build checked, just ask someone! Helpers (designated by a [H] symbol by their name) are usually there to help and observe you builds. Alternatively, a higher ranking player can also help you. Just keep these things in mind;
Stand beside your build when you want it to be checked. No one wants to check your build if your 500 blocks away.
Make sure you followed some of the building techniques outlined in the Building With Starbursts episodes.
Is your build self-explanatory. Can somebody tell its a house, a restaurant, or a bank?
Keep in mind your first build might not cut it, keep trying and keep getting better!
Be nice! If you're rude or impolite, you are liable to be kicked or even banned. Take the criticism and better yourself as a builder.

If you follow this quick guide carefully and you get to know how the server works, you will have a great time with us. Just make sure to be a nice person; no one likes somebody that is mean or ruins the fun by griefing.

How to get blocks

New members are not permitted to use creative mode or any giving command. We use Voxel Doop to give our members blocks. To get the tools, do /kit tools, in game.

The dooplicater (Or stone axe if you are using the wrong texture pack) is a tool to spawn your personal inventory. To use, right click anyblock with it in your hand, and a stack will appear in your inventory.

The paintbrush (Or slimeball if you are using the wrong texture pack) is a powerful tool that may be revoked from guests if it is misused. To use, left click any block that you want to pain, then right click any block that you want to change.

The data wrench (Or bone if you are using the wrong texture pack) can scroll though the data values of any block with them.

How do I stop being member?
If you are newly spawned, you should be in the noob world. If you can build a decent house with the correct texture pack, you can get member. You will then be in the town of Omara, after the warp of /warp normal
Do I need any special mods installed?
We use the Voxel Box Mod Pack to increase you're functionality, also giving you the voxel box texture pack, that gives you more blocks to use.

How can i get whitelisted?
There normally is not a whitelist. If we do put one on, info will be in our twitter, this post, our website, and youtubeas well.
