The Arena Build Off has Begun!
Go to CMP, type /comp, grab your Wooden spade, claim some land and get building!
Rules:
- Up too 4 people may work on 1 entry
- You may not work on more then 1 Entry or you will be disqualified
- Be mindful of the other builders around you when claiming a plot
- No Trash talking
- No Spam
- No Abuse of Redstone / Mob Spawning - Anyone caught will be Banned and Withdrawn from the Build Off
Please include the names of your team members (If you have any) on signs on your claim. We expect every team member to contribute to the build, no one is getting a ride down easy street.
Additional Information
iIf you need flat land to work with, any staff member will be more then happy to flatten out an arena for you (within reason)
Please make sure you read this post to find out what game types are you can build for. Have a game type in mind that isn't on the list, feel free to PM MrSnowGlobe to see if we can accommodate your idea.

it is cmp.womjr.com.
and the reason worldofminecraft.com/minecraft_server didnt work was because the page is http://worldofminecraft.com/minecraft_servers (notice the difference with the "s" and the end of servers)

So, my build requires command blocks to function properly, and I remember something being said about the fact that moderators would be able to do them. Given the fact that the competition ends today, when can the command blocks get put up?

Moderators can not use command blocks, its hard coded that ONLY OPS can use it

Depending on how complicated the command blocks are, this can be arranged once the arena is actually built

The command block doesn't need to be put down. Since we're not setting up the arena there, there wouldn't be much point. We're only going to actually set up command blocks or plugins on the arena(s) that get moved over to hub world. So if yours get picked, we'll make sure to get you in hub world during its set up so you can tell us what the command block does. For now, I suggest just leaving signs explaining what will happen once the arena is set up.

This is my, slightly late, build entry, just for you snow :D I once again can't read as I didn't know where to build it, so I just built in out in cmp, then I read the post again, and saw do /comp, but oh well. I built this whole thing myself. I started it last night for me at about 11:30 pm and is pretty much finished as of 1:45 pm est. (Hope you will still take it Gibb and MrSnow).

lol, I didn't use any 1.6 things. I am pretty sure 1.6 only added rugs and clay in the first place.
oh, I think I did use clay, but only for the statium flooring, which takes 5 minutes to change, lol. Not a big deal.
