Keep trying to relogin if you can. If that doesn't work restart then client>Or restart your computer
It could be a network error
EDIT: IT's doing the same for me now..

You can stop trying for the moment. If you were in SMP when it crashed, or when in it last, it's not going to let you back on. If you were in any of the other servers, then you're in luck, you can still log on. That's why it says there are players online, they are in HUB world right now. Server will mostly likely be down until MrSnowGlobe gets out of bed. Shouldn't be more than a hour or two max.

It is most likely the server will be rolled back around 3 minutes, or not at all.
