Could not find the main class: net minecraft MinecraftLauncher Program will exit

So basically, i bought Minecraft 4 months ago and downloaded it every time i try to open it i get this message.
Could not find the main class: net.minecraft.MinecraftLauncher. Program will exit.
Getting really annoyed, payed for a game yet i cannot play it.
I have tried running as admin, up dating Java to the latest version nothing seems to be working..
Any help will be greatly appreciated .
P.S im running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit.
