I have had a lot of problems, and I'm at my wit's end. First, I attempted to run the game on Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit, but it doesn't work. When I try in browser, it gets stuck loading at somewhere around 90%. When I tried the downloaded version, it loaded fully, then crapped out with a bunch of garbled words above the bar. I tried almost every fix under the sun, and nothing worked, so I decided to try it on Windows xp, which is (or was) dual-booted on my computer. It ran fine until xp got some malware or a virus or something and got destroyed. Then I tried the xp virtual machine on my copy of 7. It seems like it should work, but Windows Update won't validate it (most likely because it's a vm) and so I can't update it. When I ran Minecraft it told me I had bad video card drivers (most likely because they're built for 7), so I attempted to download them manually from the website. I tried to get the xp version, thinking it would run in the vm, but it told me I didn't have the right card for the download. I realize that the problems with the xp vm might just be because it's a vm, but if anyone could help me with it I would be eternally grateful. If that's impossible, then if anyone has any fixes for 7 that I haven't heard of yet, I'd give them a try. I'll upload a screen shot of the vm's Minecraft fail here, too.
PS: My buddy's computer is having problems, too. It's stuff isn't as bad as mine, but it'd be cool if I knew what the problem was. The problem is that it crashes every half-hour to an hour. Me and him are just doing random stuff, like jumping around or mining, when it fails. It's probably just because his computer sucks (I think it's more than five years old and has about a gig of memory, and is running Vista), but if it's not, then it would be nice to fix it. Then I could have at least one possible place to play...
