Up until now the closing of Realms had not really hit me, but when it did I started thinking about my place on World of Minecraft. I remembered back to when I first joined and why I joined, I did not join World of Minecraft for smp,pvp,cmp or the forums which is what World of Minecraft has now been reduced to. I joined for Realms and now that Realms is gone there is really nothing holding me here anymore.
So this is goodbye, sadly Realms is most likely not going to come back, so neither will I. But if Realms does happen to return I will return with it.

Well its sad to see you go but realms had to go. After full release of minecraft classic reduced majorly in amounts. Keeping it up was a loss and the staff has to think about majorities, funding/costs and some other things. I imagine realms is gone forever. Sad to see you go but if you made the merge from classic to survival it would be amazing. With the upcoming CMP there is no reason to leave :)

I did make the merge to survival and played on it for several months, but like I said that is not why I was a part of World of Minecraft in the first place. I joined nearly 2 years ago and it was a hard decision to leave but like I said I was here for Realms
