Hi there peeps... So I've been in the gaming scene for a good 20 years, and not sure how i missed out on this one from the start... oh wait yeah i was one of those better grafix better game kinda people...yeesh wth was I thinking.
Anyway, a buddy of mine's son (6yr old...lol) plays minecraft and he was hitting me up about it a couple weeks ago, and I've heard others talking and seen youtube stuff but never really took a good look... well I finially did and just bought the game after tinkering with the demo for a week.
I'm almost afraid for the health of my career and marriage, but I'll try my best to use some self control... I can't wait to get in and get started, so off I go to check out the servers!
I've played a few mmo's so i'm a bit aprehensive and overwhelmed with all of the content I've seen... so I'm open for any good tips or resources for the beginner with prior experience. ;)

Thanks guys... I've been visiting the wiki already...that's where I started to get a better idea on how amazingly vast mc is. I'm bout to try to look for a crafting guide on there that I can put on my phone. I'm on a mac so when i go full screen minecraft doesn't let me switch windows.
Thanks Tank! that dude is amazing... I have subscribed! Best thing is he's clean, mature and not all like, f this, bs that and blah blah blah with a bunch of trash i can't listen too around my wife and two yr old. I see many hours of his tutorials in my future!

a really great place to start is the minecraft tutorial series on youtube by paul soares jr. he is all about minecraft and his series is absolutely the best for newbies. its where i started. but this server has been great and ive learned a lot here. this is the first server ive ever attempet and its been a lot of fun. Just remember to respect everyone and the things they create. when i fist started, someone told me a good rule of thumb is if you didnt build it, dont break it. Happy gaming amigo!
