Hi, I've just got a new laptop and I've downloaded the minecraft.exe file from minecraft.net, I'll log in and that but then it will come up with a error saying
"bad video card drivers! Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers."
I have made sure my drivers for my graphics card is up to date but it still will not run any ideas on solving this please?

There isnt a options.txt file there is only one .txt file and Ive checked that about there is no sign of 'advancedOpengl:true'

I cant uninstall the graphics card drivers its intergrated graphics I do that and it will course problems for my laptop ..
Do you think the video will work as Im on windows 8

Don't uninstall them, just update them. That's what I had to do on my other laptop...

Hmm. There's many solutions that can be found by a Google search, but try navigating to your '.minecraft' folder, and find 'options.txt', then change 'advancedOpengl:true' to 'advancedOpengl:false'. If else, try the Google search.
