HELP! FAILED TO BIND TO PORT

I.Need.HELP.
I opened my server today and it said in the log and chat
[WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT!
[WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Can't assign requested address
[WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port?
How do I fix this?
I know this question has been answered many times, but I have an iMac and I haven't seen anything that can help me. Also since I am new to the world of minecraft server programmer, the less-complicated way would be great appreciated. I am happy to give the ip to anyone once my server is up and running.
