Hello! I really need to get my server back up and running again... I moved and so I don't know how this works out cause it's different set up. At first, I had Version and now I have Time Warner cable but they don't provide routers over where I live. So we bought Netgear router. I portfoward the server and my friends still can't get on. I also allowed the port through my firewall. There's something else blocking it and it's not my anti virus application cause I checked that as well. I've tried and looked up almost everything and I don't know what the problem is!!! My Ip is Also Static so help?!

Go into server.properties and set your IP to your new one.

Also make sure that you don't have any other things hooked up to your computers port as most only have one.

I set my ip in the server properties already and then I tried to run it with out it and still people can't join. I don't think I'm using a same port either, i'm using 25590.

You need to port forward on your router.
http://192.168.0.1/ or in some cases http://192.168.0.2/
The process is different for each router so I suggest calling your ISP and asking them how to port forward on your specific router

Okay so maybe I found the problem. On the http://192.168.0.1 Arris I believe, It says that the ip is invaild or the network address is not valid, How do I fix this? This might be whats causing the problem cause i portfoward on the Netgear router

There should be a sticker somewhere on your router that has the information to get to the control panel page

Call your ISP and ask them to walk you through it step by step

it's also worth noting if you're running your minecraft server on 25590 that it's not the default, so your friends may have to specify that when they connect. (i.e. <your ip>:25590)

I figured out whats wrong :D I just needed to portfowarded it on 192.168.0.1. Thanks!

I am not a server technician at all, but im pretty sure i know this: your port has to be 25565 or 25575. Example: 319.213.49:25565 or 319.213.49:25575
Again, i am not a server technician, but im 95% sure that is true.
