Keep getting some weird error when i try to log in

So, I was fooling around in minecraft a few months back, when i decided to flood a mineshaft with lava. The gamed crashed and i haven't been able to log in ever since. I keep getting this message when i log in:
Failed to Launch
Fatal error occured (2): null
What the hell is the problem?? Can i do anything to fix it? I tried to re-download the game and even bought a new one, but that still didn't help. Someone please help me.
Btw. im playing on a macbook.
