Minecraft file unable to open and unable to delete?

Hey guys
I was just doing whatever you do on minecraft (single player) and it suddenly crashed.
I tried to go onto the file and when it almost loaded, it stopped. When I tried to delete it, it wouldn't work.
Can anybody help?
