Hello World of Minecraft players and fans, recently I started playing Minecraft and became interested in developing additional tools and modifications for the game.  Does anyone know a good place to find information, tutorials, or documentation on developing resources (bots, hacks, protocol...) for the new Minecraft Alpha?

Although I appreciate enthusiasm on the part of players and server administrators what I'm really looking for is information on the creation/implementation of Minecraft servers and clients.
