This is a basic elevator that can be built using the new slime block mechanisms. Im sure many other redstone builds could be implemented with this idea!

To build it all you need is tripwire hooks, string, redstone, repeaters, sticky pistons, redstone blocks, and non-moveable blocks such as obsidian or furnaces. :)
