Hey all!

If you didn't read it, it basically says that we should be able to play some of the earlier vesions of Minecraft like Classic and Cave Game. After a few months, I just recently looked on the Minecraft Upcoming Features page on the wiki, and it says that there is a possibility of adding a feature to play these versions.
I think it is safe to say they got that idea from me, considering no one else posted it.
Anyways, this MAY POSSIBLY allow people to play Minecraft Classic in the MInecraft Launcher on multiplayer. This is awesome news!!

will say this, you are not the first one who said that they want to use older versions of minecraft in the launchers and you wont be the last so you cant say they took the idea from you when its from a bunch of different people saying the same thing

Ever seen the Digiex minecraft launcher? It lets you download almost all of the past version of the game, and it has been around for years.

Jak's quite right, if they based it off anything it'd be the Digiex Minecraft launcher. And I somehow doubt they'll add the ability to play Classic through the launcher, as sad as it is.

*claps* I use to use mcmc patcher to get my old verisons. Also they didn't comment on your post so I don't know if was you they got the idea from or if it was planned a year ago with the API...
