Alright so let me start from the beginning. So i downloaded the World of
Minecraft client cuase i wanted to be able to fly around and i also
downloaded the minecraft multiplayer server thing. I made the server and
successfully entered the world, but I want a flat map not the randomly
generated crap. SO i get Omen map editor, make a flat map, then change
the name to server_level.dat so that it could take the place of the
randomly generated map originally on my server. then when i log on to my
server, it says that I "failed to connect to the server, probably
becuase it is down"!!
I tried everything but nothing seems to help. I even forwarded my ports.

DO you have any idea what the problem could be?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Any
advice would be greatly appreciated. The server only doesnt work when i
use my omen edited flat map but i know that it should be
server_level.dat, so i dont know why it wont work!!
