Now that our 1.7 server is finally here, it's time for us to introduce our brand new global market system! This new system will hopefully make finding things you're looking to buy much easier, along with allowing sellers to reach more potential costumers! Read More to find out how it works!

Here's how it works:

First: Listing an Item for sale. You must be in the market building to list an item!

To list an item for sale in the new system, you simply hold the item (or the amount of items you're wanting to sell) in your hand and then do /market create <price> <amount of item for sale>. As an example, if I wanted to sell 50 diamonds for 6000 dollars, the command to list that would be "/market create 6000 50" while holding at least 50 diamonds in my hand. However, this means that people buying your diamonds must buy all 50 of them, for 6000 dollars! Make sure you DO NOT list your items as a stack of items, but priced individually! The price you list is how much they will pay for that entire group!

Second: Buying Items!

Buying an item is Simple! You simply open one of the chests labeled as "Market Listings" and find the item you're looking to buy! In this picture, I can buy a sponge block for $1 from Kain_McKey, by simply clicking it. Remember though, The price listed is how much you pay for that entire group of items.

Searching for an Item!:

This global market adds a new search feature, to help you find the best deal on what you're looking for. By click the paper on the left in the picture above, you can search for any item, and all the available listings for that item will appear! However, if you just want to look through what's for sale, clicking the left paper will allow you to go through page after page of items!

Receiving Your Items!:

Once you make a purchase, your purchase is placed in your mailbox. This can be access through the chest right next to the listing. Everything you get from the market listings will be sent to your mailbox. My mailbox, with the Sponge I just bought from Kain_McKey:

Other Commands. These Commands can only be done in the market building next to spawn.

/market pricecheck: This shows you the average price people have paid for the item you're holding.

/market history: This shows you a history of everything you've sold/bought at the market.

And that's it! If you're uncomfortable with using the new global market system, or you don't like something about it, chestshops is still in place and you can feel free to continue to build your own shops just like normal. Also, if you ask nicely, you might just be able to get a market building set up in your own town, so you don't have to come back to spawn to do your shopping.
