Omen map editor, can't save maps?

I've been wanting to make a hell-themed map for a Halloween build, but when I try to save my map, nothing comes up in the folder. I do have it in a folder with "the minecraft_server.jar", which has been a fix for many. I have tried searching and reading and whatnot. Anyone know what the problem is? If it does work, will I be able to use the map with MCAdmin?
