Hey everyone,
I downloaded the latest version of the client, but when i try to connect to a server, it ALWAYS says the server is down.
This has also been happening when i try to play multiplayer in the browser through the minecraft website. I have no clue what is going on.
I have tried everything I can think of. I have checked and unchecked the valid box, use multiple accounts to connect, and try a lot of servers. Nothing works.
PLEASE HELP as I really wish to play on these servers with you guys :)

I have tried using java 6 builds, and they don't help at all with my issue.
@prodigy i am trying to play on minecraft classic multiplayer, not the actual Minecraft game that you have to buy.
@ssfdre I know they are phasing it out, but a lot of people are able to connect to classic multiplayer. So that can't be the problem (yet).
@liquid_lightning yes i downloaded the most recent one. I tried the one before that too, but neither fixed the problem.
@jak2131 I tried that client, but that didn't fix the problem either.
So, I have to say it has to be something weird about my internet. I have no clue what it would be, but if anyone had any idea of what it was, please let me know. If you have more suggestions, post them on this thread as well.
Btw, I am sending in an idea to mojang about classic mode on reddit. Check it out later. I will post the link here or in another thread. tell me what you think about it.
