Hello everybody,
Well the partial points of these contests, are to take players and challenge them to do better. Instead of calling it a "flaw" why not simply step it up, ask questions, watch videos, look at other builds, see what they did, and figure out what works for you. Get a concept, and build it, if you don't feel you have the ambition to keep up, then don't enter.
Having better players isn't a flaw in a contest, it's a challenge. I have been watching builds in CMP, and have not seen much of people trying to practice, just getting a half idea and going with it in the simplest way possible. Most the builds that have made it past a foundation have looked pretty good to me, but it's CMP, meaning you have EVERY block at your disposal, so go NUTS and try as many blocks as you can until you find something that works. Flatten out an area for practice builds, build castle walls, pillars, houses and such, step back, and see what you can do to them to make them look better or more complex...
Ahh yes. To clarify more, in the PvP contest, weapons and armour will be provided to make the odds even. The only items that should be in a participants inventory are the items provided by us. As for the CMP contest, it's all about creativity and presentation. I really don't see the harm in joining the contest. It's not like you have to pay to get in. Completely free to join and nothing to lose except your rank in the builders list ;)
If everything would be provided for PvP, I would help join or set it up within pvp, if you need materials and such.
Uhh. Free money? I'm all over this competition. 50 bucks goes a long way when you're as broke as me.
WoM Coins: 139
I see too many flaws in this contest.
over powered people in pvp, over the top builders in cmp.
