I have the new Rei mini map & Modloader for the 1.6.2 but haven't found the instruction on how to install. Have thought of just changing the line jar xf ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar and using the same instruction more or less for the 1.5.2 but will it work? I can try it but I don't want to damage my minecraft software by stuffing up, again. lol.

When I try to download rei's minimap, and modloader onto magiclauncher, It won't work. The client just says '10 errors detected'
Forge is super easy now! That's why I have 3 mods :3 And have you tried putting reis on the mods folder forge creates?
Forge isn't working, either. It just says 'no mods detected.' So, how do I make forge detect my mods?
- Head to \AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions
- Rename the folder "1.6.2" into whatever (Personally i renamed it to "1.6.2_Modded")\
- Open the folder, rename both 1.6.2.jar and 1.6.2.json so that their names match the folder's
- Open 1.6.2.json with a text editor (Notepad might work, but I'd recommend something like Notepad++)
- In the second line, change "1.6.2" so it matches the folder's name. (The default line is "id": "1.6.2",)
- Open the .JAR file, delete META-INF
- Install the mods into the .JAR file the same way you did in 1.5 (Excluding Forge, because that works differen't now)
- Open the launcher, hit Edit Profile
- Change "Use Version" into the modded version you just created
- Hit "Save Profile", hit "Play"
- ???
- Profit!
Maybe I just know nothing about modding, but I thought that the magiclauncher removed the problem of going into the .JAR file.

I haven't downloaded any mods that don't require forge (forge is relatively easy to use now, finally!) but I think MagicLauncher will work.
