Select a Server

Lately I've been having problems with Select a Server running very slow and now it just freezes. I've updated Java and un-installed/re-installed World of Minecraft. Any ideas?
Also could someone try to connect to The Garden Of Heaven server and let me know if you can. I can't connect and it's been up for 3-4 days now with no contact from the owner at all. Thanks. Red.
