Single player no clipping?

Single player. Multiplayer is too laggy for me to really get into it.
I was exploring a cave for several hours, got some awesome loot. I'm still new to the game so like 12 pieces of diamond is a big score. Anyway! So I can't find my way out of these expanses of cave. So I find the higest point and start digging up. I'm careful, so if I hit gravel or sand it wont rain down on me. Anyway, so then the game freezes... and when I re-load it's taken me back like five minutes, to before I dug the hole in the roof... So I'm stuck in the same location, in a place that is now solid stone.
I just want to find a noclip that works so I can get the f*** out of there. I refuse to load that game and die. I've lost too much crap to the game glitching. I don't give a flying f*** if noclipping is cheating, I want it for the sole purpose of getting out of their buggy traps.
Anyone help me with this?
