I'm currently running a really small home server following the "Mindcrack doctrine" and we're looking for a few decent folks to join.
The server is 1.2.5* private, whitelisted, pure vanilla, no mods, no ops, no economy, no factions, no donations, no shops or any other bull like that.
I run a few plugins like block logging, backup and rollback for administration purposes only, but nothing that affects gameplay.
No players will have op or admin rights (there is a separate non-playing account just for admin work).
The map is pretty much untouched still, apart for a few fun builds at spawn just for kicks. There are a few community builds that have just started. We plan to build these things legitimately.
The "rules" are few but important:
1. Respect and be decent to one another (self explanatory)
2. No griefing, no stealing, no hustling, no cheating whatsoever (PVP is on, there is no grief or chest protection of any kind nor will there be, so we rely on our players good will. Therefore no breaking of this rule will be tolerated. You have been warned)
3. Fill in your creeper holes and cut down your trees completely (ocd at work)
4. Non malevolent pranks are encouraged.
5. Use common sence! (so rare, it's a freaking superpower)
The location is in the EU (GR) and currently home hosted so no guarantees for 24/7, although I try to keep it operational most of the time. Only a few slots are available for the same reason. If we get a decent amount of active players, we plan on moving to 24/7 professional hosting and also have events like ultra hardcore highlander, hunger games, race for wool and so on.
I know that age is a bit of a hypocritical way of judging people's maturity and for all I know you can still lie in your "application", but I really can't think of any other practical way of setting a rudimentary all-around behavioral standard.* *
So, if you are looking for a tight community, pure vanilla, please reply with a few things about yourself, what you are looking for, your location for time zone reasons and any questions you may have, and we'll work from there.
*A note on the upcoming 1.3 release:
Since 1.3 is probably a couple of weeks away, and since there is going to be a major overhaul on SMP mechanics, in all probability we will continue on 1.2.5 for some time, until all 1.3 issues are resolved.
**If you don't meet the 20+ age standard and you still think you can fit the mood and you can convince me of it, then you can try.
