And eventually i died since i could not protect myself because of the lagging. I have a new good pc, but i am just wondering if it is something i can do to prevent that from happening again?

Ok, i have played a few hours now, but i have to log out after 5-10 minuttes everytime. Have tried to make sure my settings are ok, but i have noticed that i dont get a very good connection to the server. And a few times thats what cut my game of. Not sure how to fix that tough..

In-game, hold down F3+C and release after 10 seconds to manually crash Minecraft. Send the crash log to me.

Maybe you should consider downloading the mod optifine. It is a computer program that greatly reduces lag. It is allowed on many major servers including World of Minecraft. Before I downloaded that I had the same program as you.

Eh, any server that disallows Optifine is a crap server not worth playing on anyways, lol.

Go ahead and send your details to me. If it starts to lag-crash again, it would be nice to have crash logs from when it works and when it doesn't. And I'm glad to hear you're having fun on the server!
