On startup, Minecraft freezes at "Mojang Specifications"

Minecraft seems to freeze at Mojang Specifications page.
I use alpha, and it does this in both download and in browser. I have the newest version of java. Using Windows Seven (32, not 64) and have 4GB ram on a new computer.
