tablet glitch

Hey all my son has been playing minecraft for some time now and his friend signed into his tablet to play while on vacation and now ever since then when we try to open the app it opens and when you push the play button it closes the app, any suggestions? Thanks

Try deleting the app and
Try deleting the app and re-downloading it. you can re-download an app you deleted for free even if it did cost money on IOS, i dunno about any of the other operating systems.

Was the game mode set to creative for the game while the friend was playing on it?
if so he could have set down a LOT of TNT and blown them all up causing extreme lag which can cause even high end servers to crash.
if not please let me know which game mode it was set on.
