I recommend you guys take a look at Starbound, Space Engineers and Star Citizens. None of them are released yet and only one is in public alpha. But they just look so gooood!

I am a Sims 3 player myself, and usually bounce between that and Minecraft since they are easily accessable by my computer. I'm always into Legend of Zelda when I boot up my Wii, and I was very into Red Dead Redemption in Zombie mode, till my boyfriend got rid of it thinking no one was playing it anymore (I guess he was rarely around when I actually did play it :p)
