Why is my minecraft.jar file my bin? When i open my Appdata/roaming/.minecraft/bin it automatically redirects me into the minecraft.jar file. My bin file is now the minecraft.jar. How can i fix this?

It is interfering with my attempts to mod minecraft,
I hope you guys can help
