World of Minecraft not responding to remapped keys

Hi, I just downloaded the World of Minecraft client and was really looking forward to using it but, horror of horrors, it ignores my re-defined keys and forces me to use WASD and space.
I am very heavily left handed and WASD is very uncomfortable for me to use (jumping is nigh on impossible as I have to do contortions with my little finger to make it reach the space bar).
Is there a way to re-define the keys in World of Minecraft so that I can actually use the custom client?
