I'm trying to figure out why i have to have an internet connection just to join my server

Then i can disconnect from the internet totally (unplug the cable) and keep playing

Is there a way to trick World of Minecraft into letting me join my server without parsing the server lists and crap?

I like to play on my private server offline alot but i'm not sure why the client has these restrictions

If anyone has a way i could join my server please let me know
