I have tried to install the add-on. I have had no success in doing so. I have extracted the file but what do I do with it?

Do you have WinRAR?
If so, open WinRAR and use the View tool to get into minecraft.jar.
Extract all the files in but make sure you have a backup of everything in there.

Hey i am making something that looks like infiniminer even better, i might post it when i finish it. =D
I made the color blocks look like infiniminer still keeping same hue and made Nice gold and silver in kinda same style but more shiny :P

To make a texture pack for Classic you just extract the terrain.png out of the minecraft.jar and edit it.
