Chocolate Land

Chocolate Land is a friendly community dating back at Minecraft Alpha beginning on a Minecraft Classic Server (CLOSED). We have recently reset our world because it was getting cluttered and the world's size took up a lot of memory. We like to change after every reset and try new things just for the fun of it. We currently have developers coding our own plugins for the server. So whatever we feel like adding to the server, we code it.

About The Server

Chocolate Land is currently compatible with Minecraft 1.0 clients and is a 65% pvp and 35% freebuild server. Inside the spawn is the safe area, where you get invincibility and where pvp is disabled. The spawn is surrounded by a glowstone border which separates the spawn with the rest of the world. The PvP zone stretches from the spawn and stretches out 512 blocks in every direction. Pass the 512 block borderline is where PvP is disabled and freebuilding is optional. Some would prefer to build a base there which is usually hidden underground covered with no entrances or exits or trace of anything to prevent grief and raids.

Griefing and raiding is permitted and is not illegal. We want to make the server to feel as much like pure and hardcore survival as possible and believe that this is truely how things should be played. You can buy protection with the gold you mine (in ingots). We will soon install our own virtual economy which will allow you to deposit your gold for safe-keeping. The pricing of protection has not been decided yet but here's the idea:

10 Gold per chest protection

0.5 Gold per placed block

Clans: Part of the PvP feature is the clan plugin. We plan on coding our own later but for now we are using the SimpleClan plugin. With this plugin you can start your own team with friends and set a base warp for your team. There is also a clan chat feature that lets you discuss privately with your team. You can go out and battle with your team or make it hardcore and toggle Friendly Fire. Becareful whose clan you join or who you invite, backstabbing is also permitted. There is also a clan leaderboard where you can see the top fighters of the server ordered in highest kill/death ratio.

INSTANT HEALING SOUP

Yes, we have soup that instantly heals your health. This is crucial to surviving long battles in PvP. Eating a soup in battle will recover your health by 2 which is helpful in situations where your health runs low. We choose soup because it is the only unstackable food and gives the feel of 1.7 food.

AUTO-RESTART

The server auto-restarts every 2 hours. So if you see the server down, it means you joined in the middle of a restart  . Auto-restarts were implemented to fix lag and guarantee a reliable server without too much crashing or lagging.
