Google 'Minecraft 1.2.5 Jar' and download it and then replace the 1.3.1 update, I did the same thing don't worry.. :/

there isnt an 1.3.1 smp server yet only 1.2.5 and you will need to follow the post i put to get a 1.2.5 minecraft.jar file
