well it might be 1.4.2 compatable but then again if its a long list of bugs and if its not 1.4.2 yes bukkit will have to start over again with building 1.4.3 server to fix all the bugs

from what im reading its suffocation bugs into walls manily so it can just be client side but then again i get suffocation glitched on World of Minecraft since its on 1.3.1 when the water is pushing me so it also might be server side as well

There where a lot of suffocation bugs fixes.
1.4.3 should be ok with the 1.4.2 compatibility.
Anyway, still a week or so away yet.

so servers might need to be upgraded to 1.4.3 for updated clients to work

i have the 1.4.3 client and it can not connect to any 1.4.2 servers so if snow wants to wait for 1.4.3 then that would mean you will need to wait for SMP/PVP to upgrade to 1.4.3 not 1.4.2
