Admin on Minecraft Beta Server?

How would i go abouts getting admin on my minecraft beta server? by admin i mean as in you get all the blocks without working for them kind of like mine edit in offline mode.

In the console of the server, type in "op [your username]" without the quotes and with your actual username without brackets.
