i think that quite a few people would agree with me when i say that we need admin that will spend more time in smp, as it is the server is left alone most of the time and only sometimes(not everytime) when we start screaming about grief to realms and irc do admin appear to help.
even just admin checking in every so often would help to reduce grief and stop some arguments that always very easily get out of control, as it is, many minor griefs dont even get any recognission from the admins because they are "not important enough" and we are left to try and fix them as they carry on happening around us.
even if the solution was to grant some of the higher ranking people who play regularly on the server to have some very minor power just to kick people, but not ban, this would help to fix the problem
(sorry if this sounds like an angry complaint, it is just meant as a suggestion)

i would also be happy to help improve the server and some other people have said that they would like to help if allowed

Yeah, I know what you mean about the 'system works fine' etc. Various time Fishtownsmichael and you have came to IRC to report and no staff is there to help. I would love to help aswell, I am happy to give my time for patrolling SMP.

in case i get lucky and an admin does see this, i would like to say again that im not trying to complain, i appreciate that everyone has their own things to do, so they cant spend all their time running around after us

SMP was setup for the most trusted people, we didn't want to police it all the time. If users are getting into massive fights all the time on SMP that's rather pathetic and you tell me who and I'll solve it really easily.
As for this minor grief that "isn't important enough", that is not true, we do care and when we are alerted the user is usually banned. However do you want us to fix the grief as well? The issue is I can restore backups, but by the time someone has noticed it or alerted an admin it's too late i.e. 2 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours... and restoring a backup from "X" amount of hours ago undoes everyone else's work. No we aren't going to make a rollback or undo command.
Giving users the ability to kick doesn't fix any thing, it would just provoke the issue, they only solution for punishment in SMP is bans.
However; I actually FULLY agree with you, I'm getting complaints or suggestions all the time as SMP is getting more traffic everyday. I also trust both yours and rollypolly opinions. So leave it with me and I'll figure out a new plan of attack.

Cant you do like a rollback of one area not the whole world save? lots of servers do that. And btw i completely agree

Yeah, I completely agree, I havent been on SMP in while because of my
terrible internet, but I will be back on this Monday. I know staff who are regularly on SMP would be a great deal
of help for when things do happen. Also, when I have been in IRC players
have came reporting grief, fights griefers etc in SMP, and there
usually seems to be no admin available to go in and help.
I think we do need a lower rank of staff ( maybe the hierarchy of staff
from old World of Minecraft ) who can patrol SMP and World of Minecraft:Realms for when trouble does
happen and staff aren't available of are occupied with other things.I for one would be happy to help out on SMP once and a while as it is annoying when there are fights or griefing.
