aether mod

hi everyone
i've been trying to install the aether mod but i keep getting the black screen
what i have been doing is:
1)moving all contents of modloader into the minecraft.jar file
2)the same with audio_mod
3)the same with everything in the shockAhPI.jar folder
4)deleting the META-INF folder
5)the same with the Aether 1.7.3 .jar folder
6)moving the Aether 1.7.3 resource folder into the .minecraft folder
then i can log into minecraft and i can play multiplayer, but when i try to start a new world or load a save file in single player, i get bare dirt blocks for about 5 seconds, then black screen
please help me because i really want to try the mod

ok, so i have decided to re-download the mods, where would anyone recommend downloading them from?

okay im gonna go thru a quick tut here, hope it helps.
first: ddrag all the contents of modloader, audio mod, shockah api (the contents only in bin)
second: DELETE META-INF
third: drag all aether jar contents into minecraft.jar
fourth: drag all aether resource contents into .minecraft -> resources
i know you already did like most of these steps, but i wanted to go thru to show you if you missed anything, anyway i hope it helps :)
