I recently deleted my Minecraft files so I could download a different mod. I downloaded Minecraft and when I tried to log in, I got a message saying "not downloaded" and now I can't play. And the Minecraft folder in application support is empty. Please help.

PS I did buy Minecraft

Erm....

Download minecraft again from minecraft.net :P
Also, when mod tutorials tell you to delete the minecraft.jar , they don't mean the .minecraft folder. Inside the .minecraft folder there is a bin folder, and in that there's a minecraft.jar file :3. Sorry if that wasn't what you were talking about.

Thanks. I've tried

Thanks. I've tried downloading minecraft quite a few times and still nothing in the folder. And yes, I did initially trash the entire minecraft folder. Any suggestions as to how to get minecraft working again?

hmmm

try checking if it is still in the downloads section of your computer, if it is, you can just extract it again and it should work fine.

If not, try making sure that ALL of the minecraft files are gone before you redownload the game.
