Greetings from Invicti! Aftermath is a politics-oriented server in which people form nations and manage their own civilizations. You can carve your destiny by either living in Invicti as a Non-Alligned Individual or joining (or starting!) a nation.
Invicti, the spawn city managed by the benevolent Admin Party, is a city that is constantly being built and maintained. Players are encouraged to buy land and form the city themselves the way they want to see it. The economy is intended to be predominantly player-driven, with the admin shops becoming less relevant (and perhaps phased out entirely) as more players start participating in the economy.
My administration on the server is still relatively new, so the rules are still a work in progress, but here's what we've got so far:
0.) These rules are in addition to the old ones, found on the server documentation. They do not replace them, and you are still expected to abide by the old rules.1.) Hostile actions must be done either under mutually agreeable terms (to all involved parties) or under warfare. Basically, things like bombing your neighbor with tnt cannons without actually making an official "war" is illegal, unless both nations consent to the action (it should be noted that coercion does not count as consent; you cannot threaten someone into "willingly" allowing you to bomb them).
2.) Domestic terrorism is illegal. All nation members are expected to act in an appropriate manner to fellow nation members, "appropriate manner" being, in general, not intentionally doing physical damage to nation territory or property, and refraining from violence against fellow nation members. You also cannot circumvent this rule by saying that you have "left" a nation and then attacking them while you still have worldguard access.
3.) If the server decides to get industrialcraft, you must not detonate nuclear devices (be it through actual bombs or intentionally overloading a nuclear reactor) without explicit permission from the admin.
4.) Do not "camp" spawning areas, be they public spawning areas or people's beds. If, in the event of a war, spawn camping is undertaken as part of a battle strategy, it must stop as soon as the battle is over. (Note that battles are encouraged to take place outside of settlements for this reason; spawn camping is never fun, even when legal.)
5.) In order for nations to own property within Invicti, they must follow whatever laws the Party decrees (to be developed later).
6.) I really shouldn't need to say this, but exploiting glitches and hacking are also against the rules.
The gameplay mechanics are largely the same as in the old administration, thus far.
It is described in this document, made by the old admin: https://docs.google....?hl=en_US&pli=1
We do plan to implement more plugins as time passes, and possibly change some gameplay mechanics, but that will probably come after we have a larger community (and once said plugins update to our version). Specifically, I currently have a developer on the bukkit forums working on a plugin that will allow each nation to have their own currency, allowing them to conduct effective monetary policy :).

Server now runs Spout! You will need SpoutCraft to fully appreciate the plugins our server has to offer (currently, our only Spout plugin is Guns+, but we will most likely add more in the future).

Once you download and run SpoutCraft.exe (or whatever your OS uses), go to Options (next to where you type in your password) and manually select Build 1299 (1.2.4).
