Ok, so a lot of people seem to be getting the authentication error today, if you are getting it:
-Try using the resume button to take you back to the last server that you played.
-If you know how to use direct connect to get onto whichever server you play on (easy if you play realms) then use that. If you don't know how, search the forums before asking.
-Make sure that you are typing your username and password in correctly, check it and double check it.
-Make sure that you are using java 6 (Not java 7).
-Delete all World of Minecraft client files from your computer and re-install it.
(Please stop making more topics about it, we have noticed that there is an error, any more topics I see that don't bring anything new will be deleted)

I just wipe my PC of all World of Minecraft files then reinstalled all new from download, I check and rechecked my password. I check my java it is java 6 update 33. Everything is just as it should be but still not working properly.

Im 100% sure im doing it correctly. I tried like 10 times. I even changed the password, and it keep saying same thing.

I got correct java and correct info. I tried redownloading it but I can't extract the stuff from the file :/. How would i do that direct connect thing and do you think it will just fix itself??

It is highly unlikely that it will fix itself, we need moujave to appear to sort out the problem.

Yeah if you can get the direct connect (mc://123.45.67.890:0000/yournamehere/a123456789abcdefg)<-- [ so not a real link do not click] for the server you like to play on it will connect you. If being the important part.lol for more direct connect info check the treads there's one somewhere on here.

I hope it is fixed soon because I can't play on minecraft.net because it is not supported by Ubuntu :(

The DC when i try to, it says the server is down, and when i enter in Minecraft.net it is always on.

When I got back on World of Minecraft after a month's break, I noticed I was getting an authentication error. Then I read where you said to have Java 6 installed. Well I have both Java 6 and Java 7. Should It work where I have Java 6 installed.
*Update* Nevermind, The next time I tried connecting, it connected
WoM Coins: 6608
The client seems to be working fine for me, and quite a few others, so it doesn't seem to be a complete fail of the system as we have had before :P
