Ok this is stupid, if any admins or moderators see this message, I'd like to beg of you to remove 99% of lava in the new server reset of the map/world. COUNTLESS OF TIMES have countless players lost good gear to lava. Raging the first loss is bearable, but having to lose even more better gear than before BY DIEING to the SAME THING IS STUPID. So if my request could be heeded I would have more of a reason to go digging into the ground for more resources than getting it from the market! If this request is not heeded,at least try to reduce the amount of lava spawn,cause I've already lost 9 DIAMONDS,64 iron ore,34 gold ore,31 blocks of redstone,64+ lapis lazuli and 59 logs and my diamond eff. 1 pick! First time, lost this all i raged, second time, suprise supirse,lava is EVERYWHERE, lost another diamond pick, but this one was a FORTUNE 2 EFF.4 DIAMOND PICK! I seriously hope that if an admin sees this,I pray and hope that he/she will accept my request and lower the amount of lava in the reset(and if you are too dumb to use common sense, I AM NOT ASKING FOR MY ITEMS BACK).

don't know for how long u are playing MC. At my beginning some years ago, i often died in lava, very annoying :(
But dude, can only say one thing: u have to be more careful while digging. On the actual server i only died 2 times in 3 yrs. It's not a server-problem, it's about u and your behaviour. And i don't want to have a ridiculous simple world... if u don't want to die, play CMP...
Be careful! And NEVER DIG DOWN! ;)

Becuase you have had some bad luck does not warrent us to remove lava from the server.
This current map was not generated with lots of lava in mind.
The next map will be generated using our settings we have always used(Also it is quite hard to control map generations reliably).

When the game mode is called survival, you should expect that there just might be things that are there to make that a challenge. Otherwise it wouldn't be called survival. There would be no point to the game setting if you could foresee every single obstacle and challenge in the game. Staff has already made the game easier for us in SMP by adding in teleport, warps, claims, and by turning off creeper block damage. They have to draw the line somewhere. And lava doesn't just appear. You can bring a bucket, a fire potion, or simply don't dig next to your self when exploring. If you don't want to worry about lava death, why not play on CMP?

Don't take your fortune picks mining. First, make 2 ender chests and place 1 in your home. Then take the second one with you mining. Whenever you start to build up a decent amount of mined resources with your silk pick, put down the ender chest, put the items in, and pick it back up with the silk pick. Then repeat. If you die, minimal loss since you won't lose chest contents. And when you are in the safety of your home, set those blocks collected with silk and use fortune on them there.

You're right, dying to the same thing over and over again is really stupid. I would recommend not going into the lava. That should prevent you from dying in it.

Be alert to the *pop* and the *bbrlrllplpllpl* sounds that lava makes. That way, it's easy to tell where the lava is.

maby you should just get better at the game, if you find yourself dieing to lava alot maby a fire resistance potion will do you some good

I know it's frustrating to lose evrything in lava, but still, you don't have to use the F word (I'm pretty sure censoring part of it isn't allowed too). Things like these, unfortunately, happen.
