How about nothing? How about we stop the pointless spammy forum games. Attached here is a screenshot of just a part of the active list which has 4 flipping forum games going. This is quite annoying to continuously see in the active list every time I log on and want to read actually important threads. These game threads are nothing more than a way for people to spam out points. These look to me like they are beginning to take over the forums...

to be honest, i usually go on fourms everyday to read the funny things people come up with.
most of the people who post often on them are allready contributer and even with the games it would take forever to get any higher.
pls dont take away ban the user above you :( it makes finals studying more bearable :P

how about World of Minecraft website has like folders in the side when you click them it has the forum topics like the games folder click it then those 4 topics come up get it? (still it has to be the active ones :/ )

I agree, they are filled with people who post just to gain a couple of extra "points" and they do take up the "active topics" list, but you don't need to lock them, there are alternatives which will solve your 'problems', and keep me, one of the creators of some of the games, happy that they are still there, for fun.
- You said: "part of the active list which has 4 flipping forum games" which to me implies that your problem is just that they're taking up space on the "active topics" list. So, why not either: make a section in the "active topics" for forum games, OR make it so they don't show up on the "active topics".
- You then go and say: "These game threads are nothing more than a way for people to spam out points." which implies that people just post on them to gain "points", where the alternative, which Lunick mentioned the possibility of before, is to make it so posts in the "forum games" section don't count towards "points".
- You then finished with: "These look to me like they are beginning to take over the forums..."which I take as a compliment, as 3 out of the 4, including the one you seem to have selected, were created by none other then me!
[EDIT] 5, I hadn't noticed the one right down the bottom of the list.
I hope this isn't just a joke thread, making my rebuttal seem stupid.
[EDIT 2] Perhaps you should make a poll with 3 things;
- Get rid of them completely,
- Leave them how they are,
- Change them so that we can still enjoy them

It saddens me that you take it as a compliment that you are the main one causing people headaches with these pointless spamming forum games. I personally don't think they should be allowed period. To put in coding that will edit the point system so that the games forum don't add points to ones account seems a bit over complicated to handle the issue at hand, rather that simply say find something else to keep yourselves busy and entertained, like play on World of Minecraft:realms or find other forums who are dedicated to these sort of pointless games.
I come on here and look at the active threads list to see if there's anything important to read, or something I can help someone with, and half the time get stuck trying to sift through an over abundance of forum games spamming out the forum. There's no doubt it my mind that the entire reasons these games are created are to spam forum points.

There are 2 sections of the forums I would like to mention: Off-topic, and Non-World of Minecraft servers.
In the off topic section, you do not get points for posting and in the Non-World of Minecraft servers section, the posts do not show up on the active topics list.
I'm sure with some combination of the existing code on the site, we can keep everyone happy.

To start of, you clearly wrote "It saddens me that you take it as a compliment that you are the main one causing people headaches with these pointless spamming forum games." which tells me that you are suseptible to getting headaches, your the only one to ever even suggest they would cause such a thing, and then you havn't even said that you have recieved one because of the game. But instead, it's because you don't support people having somewhere to post and have FUN, do you know what FUN is?
Next you decided to say: "play on World of Minecraft:realms" which would create actual spam on the server, playing a 'forum' game on World of Minecraft:Realms, and then people would lose interest, where as on a forum thread, specific for that game, you can stay on topic, and post when you like and/or think of what to post.
Then you followed it with: "find other forums who are dedicated to these sort of pointless games. " which is what I have done, but I will not leave this one because one person objects so highly to something I have already proved to be pointless. I like all the forum I'm part of, including this one, not because I can 'spam' and get "points", but because of WHO is one the forums. Being on World of Minecraft forums is different to any other in it's own way, but that's not saying I'll leave the other to join World of Minecraft. They're all good!

Honestly, I like the forum games. But, you're right, there's TOO MANY.
They're clogging the forums up. If there was like 1 a day, it'd be fine. Let's delete those topics!
