I'm not that much of a newbie

I'm not that much of a newbie lol. Oh and i also learned from a nice young gentleman that deleting system32 helps Minecraft have better graphics, you should try it, it really works >:P

Well, this really depends on what you build and how.

I'll give you tips from what I do (fairly-sized log cabins and 1:1 scale replicas of ships).

For log cabins/houses:

Have more colour variation, this increases contrast to make things look good.

Have more windows. Because we can see the inside, this adds to colour variation and creates that sort of 'ohh hey look a house it's cool xD' feel.

Do you have a boring roof? Add half-steps and leaves on its sides.

Be clever. Find more ways to add to your 'build theme' that makes stuff look good.

Here's a real tip: When you get buttloads of positive comments, stick to that building style. I got tons of feedback for my log cabins and ships, so I stuck to them, or just talk to me whenever you see me in the game.

If you need examples, look at other people's works.
