Black Screen After Choosing server????

Hello all!!! I've downloaded the updated Client and whenever i choose the server i want, a black screen pops up then the whole application freezes. I have to kill the process to make it go away. If you know of a way to fix this let me know please!!! Im going into withdrawals haha :)

minecraft.net having issues the new World of Minecraft client works fine but minecraft..net is still working out the bugs and whatnot just sit tight and wait for them to pull it together
